Closer to
the intake.
Porsche GT4 RS-style carbon-fibre intake development for the Porsche Cayman. Aiming for a more immersive induction soundtrack.
Naturally aspirated. Turbocharged.
The idea starts
behind you.
The engine sits just over your shoulder. Our Porsche GT4 RS-style intake project aims to bring the rush of induction closer to the driver, with an OEM+ appearance and a more involving soundtrack as the revs rise. Separate programmes for naturally aspirated six-cylinder and turbocharged four-cylinder Porsche Caymans will explore the character of each engine family.
Leichtbau Motorsport is developing a wider range of carbon-fibre performance parts. Intakes are our first proposed product family. Join the project to follow prototype development, testing and a potential first production release.

Hear the intake.
Feel the occasion.
For the naturally aspirated Porsche Cayman, our goal is a richer, more immediate induction note inspired by the GT4 RS experience. For the 2.0- and 2.5-litre turbo models, we’re exploring a distinct intake character suited to the four-cylinder platform.
Our prototype pairs an immersive induction soundtrack with a considered OEM+ finish. We’re refining the assembly through prototype development, with final specifications to follow testing.
108 dB
981 Porsche Cayman GT4 · Prototype sound level.
Prototype result for the 981 Porsche Cayman GT4, not a final production specification. Measurement conditions will be published before orders open. Sound levels vary by vehicle application.
Carbon fibre.
Purposeful construction.
Our prototype combines carbon-fibre components with 3D-printed carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer parts in a design focused on lightweight construction.
Visible carbon-fibre surfaces bring the signature finish, while additive manufacturing shapes selected polymer components within the assembly. BMC air filters complete the intake.
Final material grades, component specifications and validated performance will be published before orders open.
Your finish.
Your signature.
Personalise the visible upper cover with gloss carbon fibre, matte carbon fibre or a painted finish. Paint-to-sample colour requests and contrasting accents let you shape the look around your Porsche Cayman.
Choose a subtle factory-inspired finish or make the details your own, from accent lines to colour combinations.
Custom finishes are offered subject to colour matching and technical feasibility. Availability, additional cost and lead time will be confirmed individually before ordering.

The first allocations.
Join the launch list for access to the first production allocations and our lowest planned launch price. Both naturally aspirated and turbo intakes will be offered at an early-access price of €5,500, with pricing set to increase after the early-access release.
The same planned early-access price applies to both naturally aspirated and turbocharged intake versions.
Final specification and price are unconfirmed. Tax and shipping treatment will be confirmed before orders open. Professional installation is optional and charged separately. Experienced enthusiasts may install the intake themselves following the installation instructions. No payment or purchase commitment.
A few details.
Is the intake available to buy?
Not yet. The intake is at prototype stage. Testing, final specifications and production timing will be shared before orders open.
Will it fit my car?
Yes. The intake range supports the Porsche Cayman models listed above, with a model-specific version for each application. Installation can be carried out by a Leichtbau-authorised installer or by an experienced enthusiast following the installation instructions. Professional installation is not included in the intake price; your installer will confirm the additional cost before booking.
What sound or performance can I expect?
We’re pursuing a GT4 RS-inspired induction experience, with separate sound development for naturally aspirated and turbocharged models. The current prototype sound level is 108 dB on the 981 Porsche Cayman GT4. This result does not describe sound levels on other Porsche Cayman models. We’ll publish the vehicle application, measurement conditions and sound recordings before orders open. Final production specifications are still being refined.
Am I reserving a production slot?
The first production allocations will be offered exclusively to registered launch-list members. Joining gives you the earliest opportunity to order at our lowest planned launch price, before pricing increases after the early-access release. Registration is free and does not secure a production slot; an allocation is confirmed only when your order is accepted. Final pricing and order terms will be shared before you commit.
